That’s the gap Chris Baylis saw firsthand.

In 2007, he entered the sponsorship world after a career in tech and insurance sales — and quickly realized there was no playbook. No real training. Just trial and error. He built sponsorship programs, managed teams, and closed deals, but every lesson was hard-earned.

By 2014, fed up with the lack of guidance in the industry, Chris started sharing what he’d learned. His blog struck a nerve. Within a year, it grew into a thriving community, and by 2015, The Sponsorship Collective was born.

Today, Chris and the team lead one of the most trusted names in modern sponsorship strategy — helping people from all industries build scalable, sponsor-ready programs that get results.
